Rainer Steffl began his career in Software Engineering, and after working for a major consulting firm he joined Mondi in 2002. Prior to his current role as CIO he was leading Mondi’s application team, holding overall responsibility for the application architecture and the deployment of SAP across more than 100 production facilities in over 30 countries. Rainer took over as CIO in 2011 and he is passionate about ensuring that as a FTSE 100 company, Mondi is optimising technology to mitigate risk, drive operational excellence, share information and connect people as part its digital journey.
